About Bernadette Peters

Bernadette Peters: Stage & Screen Star at Wolf Trap

Bernadette Peters' winning combination of dramatic acting talent, comic timing, serious dance chops and a universally acclaimed singing voice has lifted this gifted stage and screen star to the show-biz firmament. As one of the most versatile entertainers of our generation, Peters is famed for her memorable and award-winning performances in TV and movies, like "The Jerk" and her current series "Mozart in the Jungle" and "The Good Fight". But the three-time Tony-winner is best known as a true Broadway baby, starring in Sondheim classics like "Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, Follies" and "A Little Night Music", plus more than half-a-dozen other theater hits. A "New York Times" reviewer once wrote that she performed the classic "Send in the Clowns" with "an emotional transparency and musical delicacy that turns this celebrated song into an occasion of transporting artistry." She'll light up the stage in Vienna with a selection of Great American Songbook and show tunes, accompanied by the Wolf Trap Orchestra.
