About ISEE 2016

The 2016 Conference of the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE) will focus on an Economic Transformation to Sustain Food, Water, Energy and Justice. Such a transformed economy supports the resilience of our planet and its life support systems rather than undermining it. This has implications for both local and global decision making, and for urban and rural communities. The conference is hosted by the College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC CAUSES).

ISEE 2016 will facilitate dialogue between practitioners, researchers, policy makers and citizens committed to a sustainable future and advancing such an economic transformation through:
• Plenary Sessions and concurrent sessions from Monday through Wednesday
• Speakers Luncheon and Banquet honoring Kenneth Boulding award recipients Kanchan Chopra and Arild Vatn
• An evening of celebration with Brazilian Environment Minister and Environmental Activist, Marina Silva
• Roundtable Discussions, networking opportunities, and speed talks throughout the conference
