About Rediscovered Romantic Treasures

St.Anne's Concert Series presents Ukrainian-born virtuoso Tatiana Chulochnikova, violin, and Anastasia Dedik, piano, in an afternoon dedicated to the musical legacy of Théodore Akimenko (1876-1945). Passionate about finding new and unknown repertoire for violin, Chulochnikova has recently revived and recorded the works of her fellow Ukrainian in full. Until now, Akimenko had one claim to fame: he was Igor Stravinsky’s first teacher. Come hear the Washington première of these rediscovered classics “played with fullest commitment, romantic fervour and heart.” As a wonderful addition to the evening Tatiana and Anastasia will be signing CDs for audience members.
