About The Kelemen Quartet

The Kelemen Quartet: Prize-Winning String Ensemble

Scheduled to play New York's Carnegie Hall this fall, Hungary's hot young Kelemen Quartet also makes a stop in Maryland for a much-anticipated concert appearance. Named after the foursome's first violinist, Barnabás Kelemen, the quartet was founded just five years ago, but they've already won a number of major competitions and released their first recording, featuring works by Mozart and their countryman Bartók. They've also toured throughout Europe, appearing in Italy, Germany, London and Paris, and now the Candlelight Concert Society brings them to the Horowitz Performing Arts Center in Columbia.
