The Historical Society of Washington, D.C., chartered by Congress in 1894, is dedicated to collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and celebrating the many stories of Washington, D.C. - hometown and nation's capital. HSW hosts regular exhibits open to the public and is also home to the Kiplinger Research Library.
