About Lone Holdout

Although Lone Holdout is new to country music, the driving force for its start has been a lifetime in the making. At first, it was nothing more than a hope. The band then ultimately became a reality with the release of its debut album: Welcome to the Northland. With roots squarely planted in southern Minnesota, the band showcases yet another facet or void that currently exists in country music today—songs about the North Country.

Danny, the frontman, grew up a small-town farm boy near Cleveland, Minnesota, and with a down-home style all his own, wrote the words to the songs he sings (Michael Fath/music). Right there in the fray, the band brings these tunes to life every step of the way with an original sound and a no-holds-barred delivery. Many claim their brand of country or where they are from makes them the real deal. Undeniably, Danny and his band can more than claim the same, earning their right to take any stage. But make no mistake; this is a honky-tonking country-rocking band with the chops to prove it. Life in the Midwest has a special flavor and Lone Holdout nails it in their songs, plain and simple.

Lone Holdout is Danny Derner/lead vocals, Robert Spates/fiddle, Casey O’Neal/steel guitar, Andy Hamburger/drums, Chris Neubauer/bass, Jim Ebert/keys, Rita Conestabile/backing vocals and Michael Fath/guitars, mandolin, banjo & backing vocals.
