About Comedian DeRay Davis

Comic DeRay Davis ("Barbershop", "The Boondocks", Kanye West Albums)

Having spanned the worlds of stand-up, TV, film and hip-hop, versatile comedian DeRay Davis brings his hilarious act to Baltimore Comedy Factory. Davis has had his own hourlong Showtime special, a half-hour special on Comedy Central, and appearances on BET's "Comic View" and Comedy Central's "Premium Blend". He's toured the country with Cedric the Entertainer and acted in the hit films "21 Jump Street", "Barbershop" and "Barbershop 2" (as Ray-Ray the Hustle Guy) and many more. On TV, he provided numerous voices for "The Boondocks", and acted on "Entourage" and "Reno 911". He may have reached his widest audience, though, when he wrote and performed the comedy skits on Kanye West's hit albums "Late Registration" and "The College Dropout" -- a job that led to a live appearance at the 2006 Grammy Awards alongside West and Jamie Foxx.
